I have several nonprofit clients that use Quickbooks Online. All but one has their QBO account run through my Quickbooks Pro account as "wholesale" clients. It would be far cheaper for them to get their QBO subscription through Tech Soup, but this leads to several questions...
I am hoping that they don't have to totally close their accounts with me, and at the least I can transfer the account to them and it otherwise continues as normal.
Thank you in advance for any answers or information you may have.
Thank you for your message!
The existing QBO accounts would need to be transferred, at this time there is no way to take the existing wholesale account and switch it to the discounted pricing. Also, at this time we do not offer Payroll, so that will still be billed at retail cost.
Hope this helps!

I said "several questions," but since 2 hardly counts as "several" I feel compelled to ask a third. :-)
3. Can I apply on behalf of my clients? Or do they need to create their own accounts and sign up themselves?
Thanks again in advance for any advice or information!
Thanks for the quick reply! So process would be first to apply for purchase through Tech Soup, then, if approved, go through transfer process and then somewhere the org has a magic number or code they would enter when asked to pay?
You are able to register for your clients, although there may be an extra step of verifying that you are the authorized agent on the account, but you will be contacted by our customer service team when that occurs. Alternatively, they can also register, whatever works best!
The links we distributed are coded with Intuit to be free after paying the admin fee on the TechSoup site, so the organizations will need to transfer the data, but won't need to enter in another code during setup. The unique link sent via email will allow you to create one account per organization.

Sorry to jump in on this post and ask a different question but is the $50 a simple flat admin fee ... no other fees are subscriptions required from Intuit? If so, I really am interested in recommending this to our finance team for consideration. It would save us a ton!
The QuickBooks Online Plus product is $50/year through TechSoup, and QuickBooks Online Advanced is $150/year. The only thing you would be paying additionally to Intuit would be if your organization uses another Intuit product, like Payroll.

The QuickBooks online Plus, do you have a CD or its cloud based? Can a CD be purchased?
QuickBooks Online Advanced and Plus are both cloud-based products that do not have a CD option available. The QuickBooks Premier and Mac products offered through TechSoup are desktop products, but are sent in a downloadable format, not a physical CD.
