Twitter.com relaunched with a new look on July 15, 2019. Apparently, Twitter did not have any beta testers that were people with disabilities using screen readers. As Knowbility's Anthony Vasquez notes, "The behavior of the new Twitter.com on modern Windows browsers has led to a regression in accessibility for screen reader users." A screen reader user for 20 years and a journalism professor at Cal State Long Beach, Vasquez certainly knows a thing or two about online accessibility. He graciously shares his thoughts on the ways the new desktop layout on Twitter.com hinders the user experience for people with disabilities and ways it needs to be improved.
