I am a volunteer at Brown County Humane Society and we are looking for software to manage the day to day activities at the shelter.
Does anyone know of any animal shelter software that is good and easy to use?
First, let's hear a bit about what you mean about "day to day" activities. What do you need to track most? For instance:
-- list of animals available for adoption
-- list of animals that have been placed (and details on those placements, like when, to whom, fees paid by adoptive families, etc.)
-- list of animals doomed to be put down
-- list of animals that have been put down (and when)
-- licensing compliance
-- vaccination compliance
-- microchip records
-- medical records
-- citations and fines
-- donations and tax receipts
-- animal history
-- lost animal report monitoring
What else do you need this software to do?
Here's a survey from 2009 where different shelters were asked which software they used.
And have you contacted these companies, to ask how many shelters use their software and if they would give you the names and contact info for a few customers so you can call them and find out what they think of it?

You probably have software for your shelter by now but on the off chance that you may still be looking be sure to consider us; www.toyourrescue.org. We would love the opportunity to show you what we have and how it can fit into the Brown County HS. Jack Floyd
