In the past months I have been told about the Eset antivirus a few times by different Tech companies I have spoken to at recent conventions and meetings. We keep having issues with viruses, spyware, etc with Symantic, Fsecure, and some others. None work. Would like to switch to Eset. Is this being looked at to be available at a fixed price for nonprofits?
I have never heard of Eset. Why do you think it's any better than brands like Symantic and AVG?
Update: I did a little research and discovered they have a 30-day trial.
Why don't you test it and let us know if you still think it's something TechSoup should try and offer. But the company is not located in the USA so they may not be willing to offer a discount.
I've never used ESET personally. But why not give their free trial a shot.
Kaspersky and Avast are also good choices. Both offer a free version you can use, which is enough protection for most people.
You should also be using software like Malwarebytes that prevents malware and trojan attacks. Check out their free Malwarebytes AdwCleaner to quickly scan and clean your computer.
