Nonprofit Management 101: A Complete and Practical Guide for Leaders and Professionals was released this week. I've only just started to flip through my copy, but I'm amazed by the depth and breadth of experience and insight. As I said in my blog post last week, I think the nonprofit community has been waiting for a comprehensive guide like this for a long time.
We have five copies of the book to give away, and we decided to have some fun with them. If you create a short video about what you've learned about nonprofit management in the past five years, then you'll be in the running to receive a copy of the book.
Why are we asking what you've learned in the past five years? We thought it would add some interesting variety to the entries. What you learned in the past five years will likely vary a lot depending how long you've been in the sector.
Your video doesn't need to be polished. We're more interested in what you have to say than in the recording quality. For inspiration, check out the winners and resources from our recent digital storytelling event.
We'll randomly choose five winners from the qualified entries and contact you about sending you the book. We'll also feature our favorite submissions here on the TechSoup Blog.

Awesome job on the chapter, Elliot! Congrats!

Thanks Justin! That's great. Consider yourself officially entered. :)
Hey, Can "International" people participate as well? :)
It would be great to get some submissions from outside the US, but unfortunately, we can't send the books internationally.
This is such a wonderful opportunity you've made available to us! Ever since becoming an Americorps*VISTA for my organization, I've grown extremely interested in nonprofit management. I was amazed when this appeared; thank you!
Here's the link to my video: www.youtube.com/watch
It's not super-high quality, sort of straight off the cuff, but I hope it captures the spirit of what I've learned.
Thanks a lot, Ryan. I'm going to blog about your and Justin's videos.
No problem, Elliot. I'm really interested in seeing what you conclude. Nonprofit management has become somewhat of a passion of mine; there was so much I couldn't discuss in that video that I'd love to see more viewpoints expand the whole management picture.
